Kyrgyzstan Grants Five-Year Tax Exemptions to Bloggers and AI Developers

Under the decree of the President of Kyrgyzstan “On Measures to Improve the Taxation System and Tax Administration,” a number of tax incentives will be introduced for the IT sector, as well as for creative and innovation-driven activities, the country’s Tax Service announced on Friday.
Under the new measures, IT professionals, artificial intelligence (AI) and application developers, bloggers, remote workers employed by foreign companies, and startup founders will be exempt from paying taxes for a period of five years.
In addition, preferential personal income tax rates of 5% and social insurance contributions of 12% will be established for these categories.
According to the statement, these measures will help Kyrgyzstan become one of the regional hubs for the development of information technology, artificial intelligence, and creative industries, attracting talented specialists, innovative companies, and investments from around the world.
The preferential tax regime is also expected to enable entrepreneurs to allocate more resources to business development, the adoption of new technologies, and the enhancement of the competitiveness of domestic companies.
