Uzbekistan Launches Central Asia’s First National Media Bank

The Content Center under the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan has launched the Aura.uz platform in test mode. According to Yuz.uz, it is the first large-scale media bank in Central Asia, bringing together high-quality visual content about the country to promote it internationally.
The main goal of the project is to provide journalists, bloggers, designers, and media professionals with broad access to professional materials. The platform features photos and videos showcasing Uzbekistan’s culture, traditions, tourism potential, nature, and urban life. Its servers currently store around 6 terabytes of data (more than 12,000 files), and the archive is expanded daily by an average of 200 new content items. The database has been compiled from materials provided by government agencies, the National Television and Radio Company, and the UzA News Agency.
The platform offers users modern media-management standards, including:
• high-resolution content (HD, Full HD, 4K, and above) without logos or watermarks;
• video materials in both horizontal (16:9) and vertical (9:16) formats;
• an intelligent search system with filters by region, season, subject, and time of day.
One of Aura.uz’s key features is its openness to the creative community. Professional photographers and videographers will be able to upload their own work directly to the platform. In the future, the creators also plan to introduce a monetization system for authors’ content.
