Antalya: A Premier Global Hub for Major Events in 2026

With its breathtaking natural landscapes, pristine Blue Flag beaches, and ancient historical landmarks, Antalya seamlessly combines rich history with modern comfort. In addition to its luxury resorts and renowned cuisine, the city offers excellent infrastructure for business tourism. Thanks to its well-developed ecosystem, featuring more than 300 five-star hotels and over 175,000 accommodation beds, Antalya has established itself as a trusted global destination for hosting high-level international events.

As a result, Antalya’s 2026 events calendar is both extensive and diverse. Major highlights include the inaugural international sports tourism exhibition Sports & Events Türkiye (May 31 – June 3), the 77th International Astronautical Congress (October 5–9), and the COP31 United Nations Climate Change Conference (November 9–20). The city will also host the renowned Aspendos Opera and Ballet Festival, the Runtalya Marathon, and the prestigious Turkish Airlines Open golf tournament.
One of the key cultural events of the summer was the 9th Antalya Fashion Week, held from June 2 to 4. The event aimed to promote the region’s multicultural spirit on the global stage. This year’s edition featured innovative programs and exclusive fashion shows at historic venues, with participation from leading designers from Türkiye, Russia, the UAE, and Kazakhstan.

With approximately 300 days of sunshine each year, Antalya remains an attractive destination throughout all seasons. Visitors can explore the charm of the historic Kaleiçi district, discover the archaeological sites of Patara, Side, and Phaselis, hike along the Lycian Way, or enjoy cycling tours through the Taurus Mountains. The summer season often extends until October, allowing travelers to play golf in Belek, dive in Kaş, raft through the Köprülü Canyon, and savor the region’s famous Mediterranean cuisine.
