The 114th session of the International Labor Conference (ILC) continues in Geneva, where the delegation of Turkmenistan is demonstrating a comprehensive approach to modernizing the employment sector and protecting workers' rights. At the plenary session, heads of relevant agencies presented key vectors of state policy and the position of the country's public institutions.

Speaking to delegates at the global forum, Turkmenistan's Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Muhammedseit Silapov, praised the agenda of the current session of the International Labor Organization (ILO), which focuses on the use of artificial intelligence to ensure decent work.

The minister emphasized that deep digitalization of all sectors of the economy, the development of e-government, and digital education are currently unconditional priorities of Turkmenistan's state policy. At the same time, the country firmly adheres to an anthropocentric, human-centered approach to technological progress.

Technology and artificial intelligence should serve as tools for unlocking human potential. Our goal is to ensure that the introduction of AI contributes to the continuous development of professional skills, increased productivity, and, as a result, to the strengthening of the well-being of society as a whole, the minister noted.

Muhammedseit Silapov also officially confirmed Turkmenistan's full readiness to expand its strategic partnership with the ILO through long-term joint initiatives.

Turkmenistan's civil society also presented a significant position on the sidelines of the Geneva conference. Oguljennet Berdiliyeva, Chairperson of the National Center of Trade Unions, spoke at the session on behalf of workers.

Her report focused on improving labor relations and developing effective social partnerships through interactions with the ILO and the Bureau for Workers' Activities (ACTRAV).

The head of the National Center of Trade Unions devoted particular attention to the practical results of joint projects. Today, Turkmenistan, together with international partners, is actively developing programs to systematically improve the skills of trade union personnel; promote and integrate international labor standards into national practice; expand youth employment opportunities; ensure gender equality in the workplace; and ensure comprehensive occupational safety and health.

It was emphasized that Turkmenistan's trade unions view open social dialogue as an uncompromising mechanism for maintaining social stability and ensuring sustainable economic growth. Expanding international contacts to protect workers' rights and freedoms remains a strategic priority for the organization.
