“As Co-chair of the 9th Coordination Meeting of the Development Partners Climate Change Group, I’m proud to bring partners together behind Turkmenistan’s climate ambitions and its next NDC. As we look towards COP31, the UK is working closely with Turkmenistan and international partners to accelerate the clean energy transition and unlock sustainable growth, with a clear focus on cutting methane emissions, one of the fastest and most cost-effective ways to tackle global warming this decade, building on the Global Methane Pledge and our strengthened commitments. The UK stands ready to support with world-class expertise, technology, and practical partnerships to turn ambition into tangible results, for economic resilience, for people, and for the planet,” said His Britannic Majesty’s Ambassador in Turkmenistan, Mr. Stephen Conlon.
