As part of a working visit to Chisinau, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Ukraine, concurrently accredited to the Republic of Moldova, T. Atayev, held a meeting with the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova — President Sergiu Harea and Vice President Mihai Bilba.
During the meeting, the parties thoroughly discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, including the structure of mutual trade. Particular attention was paid to identifying promising areas for increasing trade turnover, as well as developing practical measures aimed at intensifying business contacts.
The parties considered possible mechanisms to support small and medium-sized enterprises, including the exchange of business information, the organization of business missions, and participation in specialized exhibitions and fairs. The importance of creating favorable conditions for establishing direct contacts between entrepreneurs was emphasized.

The Turkmen side presented comprehensive information on the country’s economic potential and ongoing projects. In particular, the dynamic development of the fuel and energy sector was highlighted. Achievements in the chemical industry, agriculture, textile sector, and food industry were also emphasized, along with the modernization of transport and logistics infrastructure.
In this context, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan invited Moldovan partners to actively participate in exhibition and fair events held in Turkmenistan. The Moldovan side expressed sincere interest in developing cooperation in the fields of energy, chemical industry, and other priority sectors, as well as in participating in business events.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed the significant potential of bilateral partnership and expressed mutual interest in its further development.
