On April 14, the international tourism exhibition and conference Turkmentravel 2026 opened in Ashgabat. The ceremony took place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan with the participation of representatives of profile departments, international delegations, and the tourism business.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye, Nadir Alpaslan, who also delivered a speech at the conference. The program of the international conference also included speeches by a wide range of industry representatives from abroad. Among them were Erdenet Kasymov, Deputy Director of the State Agency for Tourism Development under the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan; Kyanan Firdovsi-oglu Aliyev, Head of the machinery of the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan; Serembe Geoffrey, Deputy Minister of Tourism of Uganda; as well as Abdullah Kutalmış Yalçın, Advisor to the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye and Special Representative of TÜRKSOY.

In addition, the program featured presentations by tourism companies, including “Eşretli syýahat,” “PRESTIGE DMC VIETNAM,” “Taryhy Syýahat,” and “Aziýanyň merjeni.”

After the official part, participants familiarized themselves with exposition, which showcased tourism destinations, projects, and initiatives.

The exhibition will run until April 16 and is expected to become an important platform for developing international cooperation in the tourism sector.
