The Kachkar Mountains, located in northern Türkiye in the provinces of Rize and Artvin, are rapidly gaining popularity among nature lovers and adventure seekers. Known for their glacial lakes and untouched forests, this unique region is becoming a venue for major international events.
The highlight of the spring season will be the “Kachkar” International Tourism Fair, which will take place on April 17–18, 2026, in the city of Rize.

Business Platform at the “Tea Bazaar”
Organized with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the exhibition will bring together over 1,000 industry professionals and more than 3,000 visitors. Unlike traditional expos, the program in Rize focuses on finding new partnerships and discussing sustainable development trends.
Participants will have the opportunity to attend themed conferences and seminars dedicated to transforming the Black Sea region into a global tourism hub.
Year-Round adventure and wellness
The Kachkar region attracts travelers with a wide range of activities throughout the year:
• Mountaineering and trekking: Mount Kachkar (3,937 m) is an ideal destination for climbing.

• Winter sports: the area features some of the world’s best heli-skiing routes and snowshoeing trails.
• Eco-culture: authentic villages, the sounds of the tulum bagpipe, and famous tea plantations offer a deep cultural experience.
• Health: the thermal springs of Ayder and the clean mountain air make it a perfect place for relaxation and recovery.

The region’s growing status is confirmed not only by business events but also by sports achievements. Following the tourism fair, the prestigious KACHKAR BY UTMB international ultramarathon will take place in Rize from September 11 to 13, 2026.
The combination of developed infrastructure and wild nature makes the Kachkar Mountains a must-visit destination for those seeking an alternative to traditional resorts and valuing eco-friendly tourism.
