Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan, Atadurdy Bayramov, visited Nara Prefecture, the cradle of Japanese statehood. A roundtable discussion was held at Nara Pedagogical University, dedicated to the 2026 motto "Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses" and the phenomenon of the Akhal-Teke breed.

During the visit, issues of establishing official sister city relations with Nara (the first capital of Japan) and establishing cooperation with the Nara National Museum were also discussed. The Ambassador met with the prefectural governor and the mayor, outlining avenues for collaboration in tourism and education.
