On April 1, 2026, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Tajikistan participated in a cultural event held at the Mirzo Tursunzade Tajik State Institute of Culture and Arts, aimed at strengthening national traditions and promoting cultural values. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.

As part of the event, the Embassy of Turkmenistan organized a national cultural corner dedicated to the 2026 motto "Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Heavenly Horses," as well as the country's achievements over the years of independence.

Participants in the event were particularly drawn to a thematic exhibition featuring books by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, reflecting Turkmenistan's successes in various fields and the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people.
During the event, the rector of the Mirzo Tursunzoda Tajik State Institute of Culture and Arts was presented with a copy of the book "Ganatly Bedewler" by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, published in the Tajik language, as a symbol of the strengthening of cultural and humanitarian ties between the two friendly countries.
A photo exhibition dedicated to Akhal-Teke horses—a national treasure of Turkmenistan, symbolizing beauty, endurance, and the centuries-old traditions of Turkmen horse breeding—generated considerable interest among the participants.
The event also featured a rich cultural program prepared by the Mirzo Tursunzoda Tajik State Institute of Culture and Arts, including musical and theatrical performances, as well as an exhibition of arts and crafts.
