During a friendly visit to the People's Republic of China, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, gave an extensive interview to CGTN, one of the world's largest television networks.
We present to you an excerpt from this conversation:
"We are bound by a warm friendship with the President of the People's Republic of China. Over many years, we have established political, economic, and humanitarian cooperation between our countries. We have implemented large-scale joint projects. We have combined our capabilities and efforts to achieve regional and global security and sustainable development. Our relationship with President Xi has always been characterized by openness, mutual trust, and transparency.
His persistent and decisive protection of China’s national interests, along with his responsible approach to crucial international issues, has brought Xi Jinping prestige and respect as a world-class leader.
Speaking of President Xi’s international activities, I would like to note the four global initiatives he has put forward. These are the Global Security, Global Civilization, Global Development, and Global Governance initiatives. I view these initiatives as strategically significant and essential conditions for all of humanity.
These four initiatives by President Xi align with the essence and strategic direction of Turkmenistan’s own global initiatives, such as 'Peace through Development' and 'Dialogue is the Guarantee of Peace.' These open up more effective conditions and opportunities for cooperation between our countries.
I believe that Xi Jinping, as a leader, plays a decisive role in developing the great Chinese state, which is a vital pillar of security and sustainable development in the world. In this regard, I would like to conclude by saying: 'If everything is good in China, it will be good in the whole world.' I wish the Honorable Xi Jinping—a great personality and a world-class leader—robust health, family well-being, and further great success in his state affairs, and I wish prosperity to the people of China."
