The world is changing so quickly. If the phrase "laces in a glass" makes you want to check if your parents are in the room, and the word "VCR" brings to mind a chewed-up Titanic tape, then you're a millennial. But if your basics are "facepalm," "use," and a fresh "avatar," then you're a child of the 2000s, the golden age of glamour.
And what about those who missed out on those "dark" years? Who thinks "ICQ" is a grandmother's name, and "Diskatch" is when your hard drive freezes? Congratulations, then you're officially young and have missed out on the survival skills of the 90s and 2000s.
And so, you urgently need to recuperate—at the "Hits of the 90s and 2000s" concert performed by the Melodiya Orchestra!

This won't just be nostalgia, but a true musical detox. We'll combine the drive of stadium hits with the power of live instruments. The program features a heady mix that will make you lose your cool: legendary compositions by Cher, the pop drive of Britney Spears, and the romance of the Backstreet Boys; songs by the disco kings of Ruki Vverkh, which will make even those who hide them on their playlist sing along; and, of course, the golden age of Turkmen ethno-jazz and the inimitable rhythms of the band Gunesh, which has become a symbol of an entire era.
Soloists Dovran Shammyev, Bakhar Durdyeva, Mustafa Yagshiyev, Emir Bayramgeldyev, and Ogulgerek Sultanmuradova will bring these memories to life with their voices and charisma. Come listen to music from a time when internet was rationed and the grass was greener without Instagram filters.
The concert will take place on April 25 at the Vatan Cinema and Concert Hall. It starts at 7:00 PM.
