At a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday, March 20, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved draft documents that will define the vector of Turkmenistan's integration into the global financial system in the coming years.
This includes a five-year foreign economic activity development program (2026–2030) – a master plan for expanding exports and attracting foreign investment;
A plan for interaction with international economic organizations (2026–2028), which includes specific steps toward WTO accession and harmonizing national legislation with international standards;
Roadmap for Joint Activities with International Financial Institutions (2026–2028): This outlines a new phase of partnership with institutions such as the Islamic Development Bank, the Asian Development Bank, and others to finance infrastructure projects.
The approval of these documents signals to the international community Ashgabat's readiness for a more transparent and proactive dialogue. The President instructed Deputy Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimyradov to begin implementing these plans, emphasizing that expanding partnerships remains a priority of state policy.
