The latest humanitarian action in Turkmenistan is timed to the sacred Night of Omnipotence. At a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on March 13, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree on pardoning individuals who have sincerely repented of their actions. According to the document, 336 individuals were released from further prison sentences.
The head of state instructed law enforcement officials to ensure the immediate implementation of the decree so that the pardoned citizens can return home as soon as possible. The President emphasized that returning to their families is an opportunity to start life anew, contributing to their country through honest and inspired work.
Pardoning on the eve of Gadyr gijesi (Night of Omnipotence) is deeply symbolic. It is based on the ancestral legacy of mercy and philanthropy. For the state, this step confirms its commitment to unity and support for citizens willing to atone for their guilt through constructive work for the good of the Fatherland.
