Ashgabat, February 27 | ORIENT. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday, the agenda of which covered a wide range of issues, from preparations for international forums to the extensive modernization of industry standards.
Medical Diplomacy Strategy 2052
One of the most significant decisions was the head of state's order to develop a National Strategy for the Development of Scientific and Medical Diplomacy for 2026–2052. This impressive time horizon (over a quarter of a century) indicates Turkmenistan's intention to establish itself as a WHO regional center and a hub for medical innovation. The project builds on the existing foundation of world-class scientific and clinical centers and pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
Gas Exports and International Standards
In the energy sector, the focus is shifting to increasing export resilience. The President noted the consistent efforts to create insurance reserves of commercial gas, which is an important signal to international partners of Turkmenistan's reliability as a supplier in a volatile market environment. In parallel, work is underway through the "Turkmenstandartlary" initiative: the government is initiating the international accreditation of national experimental laboratories. This is an important step toward removing technical barriers to trade and recognizing Turkmen goods in global markets.
Investment Climate and the Private Sector
The business agenda focused on the upcoming international forum "Investing in the Future of Turkmenistan" (March 18). The scale of the event is confirmed by the numbers: approximately 70 foreign companies and international organizations have already registered. The forum will be held concurrently with an exhibition marking the 18th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, highlighting the growing role of the private sector in the national economy.

Transportation and Logistics
The government continues to harmonize national legislation with international standards, including in the field of road transport. Specifically, new regulations are being introduced to monitor the work and rest schedules of drivers engaged in international transportation. This is necessary to improve safety along transit corridors and strengthen the country's position in the TIR system.
Social Block and Spring Renewal
The meeting concluded on a solemn note. A decree on awarding the title "Ene mähri" to mothers with many children was signed. During ceremonies on March 8, large families will receive keys to new apartments in Ashgabat and Arkadag. Simultaneously, a large-scale cultural program will begin in the capital and the provinces, along with preparations for the spring greening campaign.
