The 3rd International Conductors’ Forum will take place in Mogilev (Republic of Belarus) from March 12 to 14. The creative project, held every two years, will serve as a platform for professional exchange and large-scale concert programs, BELTA reports.
The forum’s program is designed for both the professional community and the general public. It includes master classes, lectures, open rehearsals, and the L. L. Ivanov International Online Competition among folk instrument orchestras.
Schedule of key events:
• March 12 — The Belarusian Folk Instruments Orchestra of the I. I. Sollertinsky Vitebsk State Music College will perform at the Philharmonic Concert Hall. The ensemble, led by Sergey Timoshenko, is a Grand Prix winner of the L. L. Ivanov Competition.
• March 13 — The Forum’s Grand Concert will take place. The program features masterpieces of world classical music and contemporary works performed by leading musicians from Belarus and Russia.
The special guest of the event will be Italian singer, composer, and producer Riccardo Forezi. He will perform accompanied by the Honored Collective of the Republic of Belarus — the Folk Instruments Orchestra named after People’s Artist of Belarus L. L. Ivanov.
In addition to concert activities, forum participants will take part in round tables and creative meetings. According to the organizers, the event aims to strengthen a unified cultural space and promote the professional development of young conductors through direct dialogue with renowned masters of the stage.
