Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Nazarguly Shagulyev met with newly appointed Chargé d'Affaires of the Federal Republic of Germany in Belarus, Kathrin aus dem Siepen, at the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus. The German diplomat's visit provided an opportunity for a constructive exchange of views on a wide range of bilateral and international issues. The parties noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of relations between Turkmenistan and Germany, emphasizing their multifaceted nature—from economics and politics to deep cultural and humanitarian ties.
During the conversation, special attention was paid to the ideological content of the year 2026, which is being celebrated in Turkmenistan under the motto "Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses." Nazarguly Shagulyev revealed to his guest the profound symbolism of this slogan, noting that it represents a comprehensive national development program. The image of the Akhal-Teke horse is not only a tribute to centuries-old traditions but also a symbol of rapid progress, technological renewal, and the country's openness to the global world.
The Ambassador emphasized that this motto embodies the nobility and determination of modern Turkmenistan, which consistently adheres to the principles of positive neutrality.
At the end of the meeting, Nazarguly Shagulyev informed Kathrin aus dem Siepen about preparations for the year's significant events, the most important of which will be the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's state independence. It was emphasized that Ashgabat remains an honest and reliable partner, ready to implement new mutually beneficial projects. The meeting confirmed that even in remote diplomatic settings, Turkmenistan's agenda remains robust, and interest in its development model among European partners is steadily growing.
