
On February 16, advanced training courses in Persian language and literature has been launched at the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Turkmenistan for teachers and students of the Center. The classes are conducted by invited Iranian instructors — Dr. Shahnaz Ahmadi Gader and Dr. Tahmineh Sheykhi.
The Advisor for Cultural Affairs at the Iranian Embassy in Turkmenistan, Abdolreza Abbasi, Iranian professors, as well as course participants, attended the opening ceremony.

In his speech, Abdolreza Abbasi emphasized that the courses are organized with the aim of providing in-depth clarification of the materials from textbooks prepared by the "Saadi" Foundation (which are currently used at the Cultural Center), discussing methodological issues, and improving the professional level of local Persian language teachers. He wished the participants success and urged them to make full use of the opportunities created to improve their knowledge.
As part of the program, the Iranian instructors have already visited the classes of their Turkmen colleagues at the Cultural Center to familiarize themselves with their teaching methods and to evaluate the course participants.

The advanced training courses will run until February 26, 2026. The classes are held not only at the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the I.R. of Iran but also at Magtymguly Turkmen State University for five higher education institutions in Turkmenistan.
