Google has officially unveiled the mid-range Pixel 10a smartphone. The new device features flagship-level display brightness, faster charging, and the status of the most eco-friendly device in the lineup’s history. The smartphone is powered by the Tensor G4 chip and will receive system updates for a record seven years.
The main software advantage is the latest Android 16 operating system and deep integration of Gemini artificial intelligence. Users get access to advanced features such as the Gemini Live voice assistant and smart photo-editing tools, including the “Add Me” function.
The display specifications have improved significantly: the 6.3-inch Actua screen now reaches a peak brightness of 3000 nits. Modern Gorilla Glass 7i is used for protection, offering better resistance to drops. The design remains recognizable, except for the updated flat camera module and a body made from recycled materials.
The battery capacity remains unchanged at 5100 mAh. According to Google, this is enough for up to 30 hours of normal use, ensuring reliable all-day battery life.
Charging has become noticeably faster. Wired charging power increased to 30 W (compared to 23 W in the previous model), while wireless charging now reaches 10 W. This makes the new device more practical for users who need quick top-ups.
Pre-orders for the Pixel 10a starting at $499 are already open, and official sales begin on March 5. The smartphone will be available in four colors: light green, charcoal, berry, and lavender.
