
On 17 February 2026, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Georgia held a briefing for representatives of Georgian media dedicated to the 2026 Year motto-«Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan-Homeland of Purposeful Heavenly Horses».
The briefing was attended by journalists of «1TV» First Channel, TV Channel “Obieqtivi”, business publication “The Georgian Business Week”, organization “GeorgiaPress”, media holding “Europe 24”, news agency “News Day Georgia”, online media “Geoecohub”, newspapers “Resonance”, “Multinational Georgia”, “Free Georgia”, “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, “Vecherni Tbilisi”, “Vrastan” representatives of Georgian think tank “Geocase”.

Addressing the audience, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Georgia D. Seyitmammedov noted that the 2026 motto reflects the nation’s development priorities, the unity of the people, and the role of Akhal-Teke horses as a symbol of Turkmenistan’s aspiration towards progress and high achievements.
During the briefing, participants were presented with the book by the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov “The Neutrality of Turkmenistan: The Bright Path of Peace and Trust”. It was emphasized that the book pays special attention to the milestones in the formation of Turkmen neutrality and the significance of the country's legal status, which has been recognized three times by relevant resolutions of the UN General Assembly, in ensuring universal peace, security, and sustainable development.

In his address, the Ambassador also touched upon issues of Turkmenistan–Georgia cooperation. He emphasized that the active dynamics of high-level visits give additional impetus to bilateral relations, opening up new opportunities for constructive and long-term partnership.
The Editor-in-Chief of The Georgian Business Week V.Miroshnichenko presented the magazine dedicated to Turkmenistan. He noted that the magazine provides an opportunity for a wide range of readers to learn more about Turkmenistan, as well as the dynamically developing Turkmen-Georgian partnership, which serves to strengthen the friendship and prosperity of the two peoples.

Honored Journalist of Georgia, professor B. Nachkebia underscored the significance of the policy of neutrality pursued by the President of Turkmenistan, noting that it calls for strengthening peace in the world, establishing friendly and fraternal relations among nations, and glorifying humanitarian principles.
He emphasized that Neutrality is an important tool for ensuring global stability and security, implementing peace-loving initiatives, discussing and resolving important international issues through mutual trust, dialogues and responsibility.
