Ashgabat | ORIENT. During a meeting in Ashgabat, Mergen Gurdov, Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, and Stanislav Chepurnoy, Ambassador of Belarus, outlined cooperation plans for the current year. The main focus is on "exhibition exchange" and the organization of specialized business missions.
Agricultural Vector: From Ashgabat to Minsk. The parties confirmed the participation of national enterprises in major industry exhibitions.
On May 12–14, 2026, Belarusian manufacturers will present their solutions at the Agro Pack Turkmenistan international exhibition in Ashgabat.
On June 2–6, 2026, the Turkmen delegation intends to participate in the BELAGRO-2026 forum in Minsk.
This sequence of events will allow businesses from both countries not only to exchange contacts but also to solidify agreements during a single spring-summer season.

New Niches: IT, Transport, and Light Industry. In addition to the traditional agricultural sector, the Turkmen side expressed a keen interest in Belarusian experience in high technology and transport logistics. An agreement was reached to send specialized business missions to Belarus. The goal is to explore the potential of IT parks and light industry production sites for the development of joint projects.
Summing up the results of 2025, the interlocutors noted that the "direct contacts" format through the Chamber of Commerce and Industry remains the most effective tool for increasing trade turnover. The shift to highly specialized missions (IT and transport) indicates that the partnership between Ashgabat and Minsk is becoming more high-tech and diversified.
