On the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, General of the Army Serdar Berdimuhamedov, made a working visit to the Lebap velayat, where he attended the opening of a complex of new military facilities for the Armed Forces in the Sayat etrap.
The new complex is not just a military unit, but a fully-fledged autonomous town. In addition to the parade ground and barracks, the complex includes a training ground with a reservoir for practicing crossing water obstacles; a digital headquarters (administrative buildings equipped with modern security and control systems integrated into the Armed Forces' unified digital network); and a social cluster (four 50-apartment buildings for officers' families, a store, a medical unit with the latest equipment, sports fields, and a children's playground).
The head of state paid special attention to the soldiers' living conditions. The modern barracks are equipped with climate control and recreation areas, including a well-stocked library. The complex's cafeteria has implemented organic food standards, where national dishes are prepared using high-tech equipment.
At the training ground, the President was shown the capabilities of the engineering troops:
the construction of pontoon bridges and the transfer of heavy equipment across water. The head of state also inspected new military equipment that had entered service, emphasizing that strengthening the army's material and technical base remains a priority.
At the conclusion of the opening ceremony, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief presented the keys to official vehicles to mark the opening of a new complex of buildings and facilities for military units of the Armed Forces, according to a news broadcast by the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of Turkmenistan.
