Belarus has approved a large-scale state standardization plan for 2026. The document includes more than 450 topics aimed at updating the rules for manufacturing goods and providing services. The main goal is to improve the quality of domestically produced goods, make them more competitive in foreign markets, and protect consumer interests, BELTA reports.
In total, around 200 standards are planned to be developed or updated. The changes will affect a wide range of sectors, from mechanical engineering and robotics to the production of children’s goods and food products. Special attention will be paid to the safety of perfumes and cosmetics, as well as to the quality of knitwear and dietary food.
The new regulations will apply not only to industry but also to the social sphere. The plan includes standards for the development of tourism and logistics, as well as for creating an “accessible environment” for people with disabilities. In addition, experts will review the technical standards for toys, amusement rides, and equipment for children’s playgrounds.
The implementation of this plan will help Belarusian enterprises introduce innovations more quickly and more effectively replace imported products. For ordinary consumers, this means that goods on store shelves will become even safer and of higher quality, as the requirements for them will comply with the most modern international standards.
