CULTURE | ORIENT. A major Turkic cultural marathon has kicked off at the UN Vienna Office. The first chord of 2026 was the exhibition "Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of the Purposeful Winged Steeds," organized by the country's embassy in Austria as part of the Organization of Turkic States' Culture Week.
The exhibition vividly embodied the 2026 motto. The UN halls hosted an exhibition intertwining history and modernity. Artistic depictions of Akhal-Teke horses became the focal point of the exhibition, reminding guests of the horses' finest qualities.
A collection of traditional fabrics, carpets, and unique silver jewelry showcased to the diplomatic corps the fine work of Turkmen artisans, who have preserved the secrets of their craft through the ages.

The opening event attracted a distinguished audience, from the Secretary-General of the Organization of Turkic States to heads of UN missions.
For the European public, this exhibition is more than just a viewing of exhibits; it is an opportunity to experience the philosophy of Turkmen neutrality through art. As the embassy noted, through cultural dialogue, Turkmenistan strengthens the foundation of cooperation throughout the Turkic world and globally.
