ASHGABAT, December 30 | ORIENT. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan issued an official statement regarding reports of an attack on the state residence of the President of the Russian Federation. The statement emphasized that the Turkmen side expresses deep concern and strongly condemns such actions. The ministry noted that such incidents pose a direct threat to international security and stability.
Particularly concerning is the fact that this incident occurred against the backdrop of efforts by the international community to resolve the conflict through negotiations.
"Turkmenistan, as a state with permanent neutrality recognized by the United Nations, always emphasizes the need to resolve any international issues exclusively through peaceful, political, and diplomatic means and methods," the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan stated.
With this position, Ashgabat reaffirms its commitment to the principles of peacefulness and calls for the use of exclusively diplomatic means to resolve the most pressing global and regional issues.
According to news agency reports, the statement was prompted by an incident that occurred on the night of December 29 in the Novgorod region, where a large-scale attack by unmanned aerial vehicles was recorded. As previously reported, all technical means were promptly neutralized, preventing casualties and damage to the Russian presidential residence.
