ASHGABAT, December 30 | ORIENT. A festive event for children was held at the Congress Palace as part of a larger festive program marking the New Year's Eve of 2026. The highlights of the celebration were students from the Jahan Creative Center and the wards of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need.
A highlight of the evening was a performance based on the folk game "Aýterek-Güntere."
Performed by the students of the Jahan Center, this song has long become a symbol of the continuity of generations. For many children, participating in such performances is not just a creative endeavor, but an important step in social adaptation, which the Foundation supports.
The culmination of the evening was the presentation of New Year's gifts from the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation. In a warm atmosphere created by the main New Year characters, Ayaz Baba and Garpamyk, children recited poems and shared their academic achievements.
For Turkmenistan, entering the Year of the Winged Steeds, such events underscore its commitment to the traditions of humanism: caring for the younger generation remains the foundation upon which the country's future is built.
