OpenAI has launched a built-in app store that turns ChatGPT into a universal assistant. Users can now directly connect third-party services to the chatbot to handle everyday and work-related tasks.
The “Apps” section already features more than 50 popular services, including Spotify, Apple Music, Adobe Photoshop, Google Drive, and Slack. Integration allows the AI to operate within these platforms. For example, ChatGPT can analyze your music preferences and create a Spotify playlist based on a specific mood — a feature not available in the music app itself.
Search and recommendations within ChatGPT are free, but full document handling or data export may require a subscription to the connected service. The new tab is currently available in the US and Europe and will be rolled out globally in the near future.
Now you no longer need to constantly switch between different programs. Simply give one task in the chat, and ChatGPT will find music on Spotify, edit a file in Canva, or schedule a Zoom call on its own.
