International certification plays a vital role in strengthening the position of Turkmen manufacturers in export markets. One of the most authoritative certifications for the quality and safety of textile products is the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 international standard.
Individual enterprise "Batly Gadam" , a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and a leading manufacturer of cotton yarn and hosiery in the country, received OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification on September 30, 2025. This certification confirms that the cotton yarn produced by the company is safe and free of harmful substances. The testing was conducted by the Austrian institute OETI, one of the founders of the international OEKO-TEX® system.
Launch of Cooperation at the QACIS Forum
A key milestone on the path to international certification was the company's participation in the QACIS 2025 forum on April 29-30, 2025, where a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Batly-Gadam, Chase United LLC, and the consulting company Dowamly Hyzmat. It was at the forum that the parties agreed on further support for the certification process and established working mechanisms for cooperation.
The memorandum signed at QACIS became the starting point for a comprehensive process, which resulted in the company successfully completing all stages of verification, laboratory testing, and documentation. It is noteworthy that the forum "Quality Assurance in Accordance with International Standards in Turkmenistan" (QACIS 2025, qacis.turkmenexpo.com), organized by the companies «Turkmen Expo» and «Turkmen Congress» together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, was intended to serve as a unique platform for concluding agreements related to compliance with international standards and the implementation of modern certification and quality management systems.

The consulting company Dowamly Hyzmat, with its extensive experience in international certifications, made a significant contribution to achieving this result. The company's specialists provided methodological support, documentation preparation, and interaction with OETI throughout all stages of the process.

The OEKO-TEX global system has been in operation since 1992 and unites independent research institutes in Europe and Japan. The OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certificate is recognized worldwide and guarantees product compliance with strict safety requirements.
New Markets and Future Plans
Obtaining the certificate has opened up new export opportunities for Batly-Gadam IE. The company is currently negotiating and establishing partnerships with partners in Singapore, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and the Russian Federation. Meanwhile, with the support of Dowamly Hyzmat, the process of certifying hosiery products to the Better Cotton standard is ongoing.
