Nvidia has released an urgent Hotfix version 581.94 for its graphics cards, addressing a significant performance drop in certain games. The issue appeared after a recent Windows 11 operating system update (October 2025 KB5066835).
Users who installed the latest Windows 11 update experienced a drop in FPS (frames per second), severely affecting the gaming experience. Nvidia responded promptly to complaints by releasing a fix that restores previous performance levels.
GeForce Hotfix version 581.94 (an emergency patch to fix a specific issue) is not part of the standard driver package and does not install automatically through the GeForce Experience utility.
Users affected by the performance drop need to manually download the fix from Nvidia’s official website.
