Special attention during the negotiations was given to teacher training and professional development, as well as to expanding formats of educational cooperation between the two countries. The Turkmen side confirmed its interest in continuing the successful practice of inviting native Chinese-speaking teachers from the PRC.
Among the key topics agreed upon during the meeting were:
• Academic mobility: Sending native-language teachers to Turkmen universities and providing scholarships for Turkmen students to study at universities in China.
• Methodological support: Assisting in the development of Chinese language centers and jointly creating modern textbooks, digital tools, and multimedia materials.
• Joint programs: Organizing short-term exchanges, summer and winter Chinese language schools, as well as conferences and international youth programs.
The Turkmen delegation highly praised the ongoing work on implementing the memorandums signed in 2023 with several Turkmen universities.
The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere, reaffirming the shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in the humanitarian sphere and developing academic ties, which play an important role in promoting intercultural dialogue between Turkmenistan and the People’s Republic of China.
