Asus Unveils World’s First 8K HDR Monitor

Asus has officially announced the release of its professional monitor, the ProArt Display PA32KCX — the world’s first display with 8K resolution and HDR support. The device is expected to go on sale by the end of October 2025, the company reported.

The monitor features a 32-inch panel with a resolution of 7680×4320 pixels (over 33 million pixels) and a pixel density of approximately 275 ppi. The display is based on a 10-bit IPS panel with MiniLED backlighting, including over 4,000 local dimming zones. The maximum brightness reaches 1200 nits in peak mode and 1000 nits under sustained load.

The ProArt Display PA32KCX covers 99% of the AdobeRGB color space, 97% of DCI-P3, and 100% of sRGB. Color accuracy is confirmed with a Delta E value of less than 1. The monitor is equipped with a built-in calibrator and supports Calman and Light Illusion software for professional image adjustment. The screen also features LuxPixel anti-glare coating.

The monitor supports HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision formats. Its connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 2.1, two Thunderbolt 4 ports (with up to 96W charging), a USB hub, and a KVM function for controlling multiple computers from a single set of peripherals.

This model is aimed at visual content professionals, including post-production studios, photographers, and video editors.
