Oriented on making people closer

During the groundbreaking ceremony for a new mineral fertilizer production complex at the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant on October 15, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov delivered a speech outlining the strategic goals for the country's chemical industry.

The head of state emphasized that the chemical industry is a key sector of the economy, where significant investment is being made and modern technologies are being implemented.

The President noted that the new complex in Turkmenabat, being built jointly with the Korean company Daewoo, is designed to address several important objectives:

Import substitution – production will allow for domestic production of imported phosphorus fertilizers;

Food security – ensuring a reliable supply of high-quality fertilizers for agricultural producers;

Technology and ecology - innovative technologies will be used during construction to ensure compliance with environmental protection requirements.

The complex itself will produce 350,000 tons of superphosphate and 100,000 tons of ammonium sulfate annually, which, according to the President, will significantly increase the potential of the country's chemical industry.

During his speech, Serdar Berdimuhamedov outlined specific plans for establishing new domestic chemical production facilities in other regions.

A carbamide production complex is planned for construction in the Turkmenbashi etrap of the Balkan velayat. Construction of the second phase of a gas-to-gasoline plant is planned in the Akhal region.

A mineral fertilizer plant will be built in the Mary etrap of the Mary region.

The head of state also added that, as part of the comprehensive development of the Lebap region, construction of the Mary-Turkmenabat section of the high-speed highway is ongoing, and a new building complex for the Seyitnazar Seyidi Pedagogical Institute is underway in Turkmenabat.

The head of state then signed a commemorative message on the occasion of the groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility, which was placed in a special capsule.

The capsule containing the message was then laid in the foundation of the new complex. The President of Turkmenistan poured the first shovels of concrete into the foundation of the future new building.
