On September 24-25, a youth training session on "Media and Information Literacy in Preventing Violent Extremism and Radicalization Leading to Terrorism" was held at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Centre in Ashgabat.

The event aimed to raise awareness among young people on preventing violent extremism and radicalization leading to terrorism.

The training was attended by students from Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the International University for Humanities and Development, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, as well as representatives of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan and the National Red Crescent Society.

The training addressed issues such as understanding the "do no harm" principle when covering events in the media, cooperation in information literacy, and ensuring sustainable information security against extremism.
