Vice President of Turkey Cevdet Yılmaz will pay a two-day official visit to Turkmenistan, beginning on Wednesday, June 3. The highlights of his busy schedule will be participation in the 9th session of the Turkmen-Turkish Intergovernmental Economic Commission and a series of high-level government meetings.
In Ashgabat, Cevdet Yılmaz will attend a meeting of the World Turkish Business Council (DTİK) and hold a meeting with business representatives from both countries for an open dialogue.
Thursday, June 4, will be devoted to high-level politics and economic planning. According to Turkish media reports, the Turkish guest is expected to be received by National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council), Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. On the same day, the Vice President will hold talks with Deputy Prime Minister Nokerguly Atagulyev, who oversees the shopping complex.
During his visit, Cevdet Yılmaz will attend the international exhibition Turkmen Textile Expo 2026 at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to personally view the booths of Turkish and local manufacturers.
The visit will conclude with a meeting of the joint economic commission. The parties intend to sign a comprehensive final protocol consisting of 72 articles. This document will serve as a clear roadmap for business, opening new horizons in strategic areas such as energy, transport corridors, industry, and mutual trade.
