Ambassador of Turkmenistan visited the Great Stone Industrial Park in Belarus

On Friday, September 5, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus Nazarguly Shagulyev held a meeting with the management of the Great Stone Industrial Park, located near Minsk. During the visit of the Turkmen Ambassador, the parties discussed the possibilities of expanding trade and economic cooperation and using the park site to attract investment and establish direct contacts between business structures of the two countries.

Representatives of the park administration, in particular, First Deputy Head Alexander Lebedyantsev and Deputy Head Oleg Tabanyukhov, familiarized the diplomat in detail with the conditions for residents, including infrastructure advantages and preferential policies. The meeting participants examined in detail the prospects for cooperation in key areas for both countries: the fuel and energy complex, high technology and agriculture.

Ambassador Nazarguly Shagulyev emphasized that economic cooperation is directly related to the policy of peace and trust that Turkmenistan consistently pursues. In this context, he particularly noted that 2025 was declared the "International Year of Peace and Trust" on the initiative of Turkmenistan. According to him, it is the principles of peaceful and trusting dialogue that create favorable conditions for the development of sustainable economic partnership. This year, Turkmenistan will host a major international forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality, which will also become a platform for discussing and strengthening economic ties.

The visit to the Great Stone Industrial Park clearly demonstrated that economic cooperation is becoming an important bridge for the implementation of international initiatives of Turkmenistan and Belarus. Deep ties between the countries are also confirmed by personal history: it is worth noting that one of the park's leaders, Oleg Tabanyukhov, served as the Ambassador of Belarus to Turkmenistan from 2013 to 2019.

The Great Stone Industrial Park is a territorial entity with an area of 117.6 square kilometers with a special legal regime to ensure comfortable conditions for doing business. The Park is planned to accommodate industrial and residential areas, office and shopping and entertainment complexes, financial and research centers. In fact, a modern international eco-city is being built with an emphasis on high-tech and competitive innovative production with high export potential.

Any company can be registered as a resident of the industrial park, regardless of the country of origin of the capital. Understanding the intense competition for investors in the global market, the state has created a favorable investment climate for residents of the industrial park, guaranteed by both national legislation and special international agreements and obligations, provided unprecedented benefits and preferences, and formed a separate and independent government agency that provides comprehensive administrative services on the principle of "one station".

Investors are offered for rent or sale into private ownership of land plots with all the necessary engineering and transport infrastructure, communications, networks and connection points for the design and construction of facilities. In addition, companies can rent (private ownership) ready-made production facilities in standard production buildings, equipped with all the necessary infrastructure, to launch production in the shortest possible time.
