 Unitree Robotics has emerged as the champion of the inaugural World Humanoid Robot Games

The Chinese company Unitree Robotics, based in Hangzhou, was the overall winner of the first-ever World Humanoid Robot Games, securing four gold medals in track and field events. Their robot, H1, delivered outstanding performances, winning the 400m and 1500m races, the hurdles, and the 4x100m relay.

The H1 robot reached speeds of up to 18 km/h, thanks to optimized mechanics and motion algorithms. Unitree's team received a total of 11 medals, making them the leader of the competition. Another notable competitor was the Beijing-based startup X-Humanoid, whose robot won gold in the 100m race.

The games brought together 280 teams from 16 countries, who competed in 26 different sports. According to analysts from IDC, this event confirms that China has become a leader in robotics. The World Humanoid Robot Games Federation was also established during the event. The next games will be held in Beijing in August 2026.
