Oriented on making people closer

The messaging service WhatsApp has finally released a dedicated version for iPad, as announced in the company's official blog. This launch marks a long-awaited development, considering the 15 years that have passed since the messenger's initial release in 2009 and the debut of Apple's first tablet in 2010.

Users can now access all familiar WhatsApp features on the larger iPad screen. This includes the ability to conduct audio and video calls with up to 32 participants, share their screen, and switch between the front and rear cameras. Furthermore, the application supports iPadOS multitasking functionalities, such as Split View, enabling users to simultaneously communicate within the messenger and, for instance, browse websites.

WhatsApp for iPad also offers support for Apple Pencil and external keyboards, thereby expanding interaction possibilities. It is important to note that all messages, calls, and media files remain protected by end-to-end encryption, irrespective of the platform being used. The application is now available for download in the App Store.
