Practical results of QACIS-2025: Agreements on implementation of international standards were signed
30.04.2025 | 23:55 |In addition to intensive discussions and exchange of experience, an important practical result of the International Conference "Quality Assurance in Accordance with International Standards in Turkmenistan" (QACIS-2025) was the signing of a number of bilateral documents. These agreements are designed to facilitate the actual implementation of in-demand international standards in various sectors of the Turkmen economy and simplify the entry of domestic companies into foreign markets.
Key areas of cooperation enshrined in the signed documents:
Sustainable standards in the cotton industry:
‣ A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between IP "Standart Hyzmat" (Turkmenistan) and LLC "SAROB GLOBAL CONSULTUNG" (Tajikistan). The document is aimed at joint work on the implementation of sustainable cotton standards, including Fairtrade and Better Cotton, in private enterprises of Turkmenistan. This is a direct response to the demands of the global textile market, where demand for “ethical” cotton is growing, and opens up new export opportunities for Turkmen producers.
International standards in agriculture:
‣ IE "Standart Hyzmat" (Turkmenistan) also signed a cooperation agreement with LLC "Safety First Certification Services" (Mongolia). The subject is the implementation of international sustainable standards in the field of agriculture in Turkmenistan. This is an important area for increasing the competitiveness of Turkmen agricultural products and their compliance with the requirements of international markets, including taking into account environmental and social aspects.
Certification according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100:
‣ Two Memorandums were signed with the participation of LLC "Chase United CA" (Uzbekistan), a partner of the Austrian OETI - an official member of the International Association OEKO-TEX®. The first agreement between IE "Standart Hyzmat" (Turkmenistan) and LLC "Chase United CA" launches cooperation in the provision of OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification services directly in Turkmenistan. This will significantly simplify the process of obtaining this important textile safety certificate for Turkmen textile and garment manufacturers.
The second agreement concluded between EA "Batly Gadam" (Turkmenistan), IE "Standart Hyzmat" (Turkmenistan) and LLC "Chase United CA" is an example of a specific company that will undergo certification according to the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 standard. This demonstrates the practical implementation of agreements and the desire of Turkmen businesses to meet high international requirements.
ISO Management System Certification:
‣ IE "Halkara Standart Hyzmatlary" (HIL-TM, Turkmenistan) and "CERT International" (Slovakia), an international certification body, signed a cooperation agreement. The document provides for joint work on the analysis of management systems and subsequent certification of Turkmen enterprises according to key international standards: ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (ecology), ISO 45001 (labor safety). Particular attention was paid to cooperation in the oil and gas industry, which is critically important for working with international partners in this sector.
ESG Certification:
‣ A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the British company Sidona Green and the Financial Center "Ygtybarly" (Turkmenistan) in the field of certification according to ESG standards (environmental, social and corporate governance). Given the growing role of ESG factors for investors and partners around the world, this agreement opens up opportunities for Turkmen companies to attract "green" financing and strengthen their reputation in the international arena.
The signing of these documents following the QACIS-2025 conference was an important step, moving discussions of standardization issues from the plane of theory to the practical plane. Agreements with international and regional partners create infrastructure and opportunities for Turkmen businesses to implement standards in demand in world markets, thereby contributing to the development of exports and integration of the country's economy.
