In Ashgabat, the international educational and patriotic campaign "Victory Dictation" took place

On April 25-26, 2025, the international educational and patriotic campaign "Victory Dictation" was held in Ashgabat. This was reported by the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan.

The campaign gathered over 150 participants, including schoolchildren and students.

Participants were presented with 25 questions covering key events of the Great Patriotic War. Each question had four answer choices. Notably, special emphasis was placed on Turkmenistan's contribution to the Victory, in particular the participation of 300,000 Turkmen citizens in combat operations, of whom 130,000 were awarded orders and medals, 104 were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, and 15 became full holders of the Order of Glory.

Following the event, participants received certificates confirming their involvement in the significant international campaign.

This year, the international educational and patriotic campaign "Victory Dictation" took place at more than 27,000 venues in Russia and 60 countries around the world, uniting people of different nationalities and ages in a shared aspiration to preserve the memory of the heroic past. The dictation questions were translated into eight languages, including English, Chinese, French, and others, allowing participants from different parts of the globe to test their knowledge of the events of 1941–1945.
