Oriented on making people closer

On Sunday, April 27, Turkmenistan will widely and solemnly celebrate the Day of the Turkmen Horse, dedicated to one of the main national values of the country. The Akhal-Teke horse is reflected in the state symbols of the country, books by National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov based on historical sources are dedicated to it, as well as numerous works of art of various genres. This is clearly demonstrated by the festive exhibition entitled "High Honors to the Horse", opened in the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. The exhibition presents paintings by famous artists glorifying the elegant grace and heavenly beauty of Turkmen horses.

A large place in the exposition is occupied by silver jewelry, which decorates Akhal-Teke horses. Sculptured figures of a horse, woven carpet images are imbued with admiration and love for this miracle created by nature and the talent of the Turkmen people.

Our ancestors considered the saddle of a horse more honorable than a throne and paid great attention to the equipment of the Akhal-Teke horse. The exhibition presents a rich collection of horse accessories and decorations: a saddle, stirrup, whips, bridle, horseshoe, as well as a breastplate, blinders, browband, collar, amulet. Here, you can also see horse blankets, saddlecloths, saddle cloths, horse bags, saddlebags, felt products.

The exhibition was opened by the senior researcher of the Museum of the President of Turkmenistan of the State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan Jahan Nazarova. The following spoke about the unique characteristics of the Akhal-Teke horses, their ancient history and current worldwide fame: editor-in-chief of the magazines “Behişdi ahal-teke atlary” and “Türkmenistanyň nusgalyk alabaýy” Narly Nurlyev, senior lecturer of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan, Honored Worker of Culture of Turkmenistan Azat Annayev, senior lecturer of the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov Yazgeldy Saryev, lecturer of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture Gulshat Pirjanova, lecturer of the International Equestrian Academy named after Aba Annayev in Arkadag Jennet Seydiyeva and leading researcher of the scientific and production center of the State Association “Türkmen atlary”, as well as lecturer of the International Equestrian Academy named after Aba Annayev in Arkadag Gulshat Meredova.
