On March 21, Turkmenistan widely celebrated the National Spring Holiday - International Day of Nowruz. Traditionally, the main celebrations of the National Spring Holiday started at "Nowruz ýaýlasy", located in the Ak Bugday etrap of the Ahal velayat.

Inspiring songs and music were heard at the celebrations organized at "Nowruz ýaýlasy". Historical traditions of the International Day of Nowruz were shown in folklore and ethnographic stage productions and theatrical performances of artists.

Here, creating a picturesque image of a Turkmen village, decorated white yurts were installed. They reflected the customs and traditions of the people associated with family life and life in the village. In addition, works of folk decorative and applied art and various types of national crafts were presented here.

Interesting national games and competitions were also held at the “Nowruz ýaýlasy”, and a palette of national dishes of the Turkmen people, which are an important part of their unique culture, was presented. One of the main treats of Nowruz was "semeni" - a dish made from wheat, flour and sugar.

Skillful riders on Akhal-Teke horses are traditionally the highlight of national holidays held in Turkmenistan.
