 Commencement of application intake for Romanian higher education institutions in Turkmenistan

The International University for the Humanities and Development has initiated the acceptance of applications for enrollment in higher education institutions of Romania.

Citizens of Turkmenistan holding general secondary, vocational secondary, and higher professional education qualifications are eligible to apply.

Information regarding the list of available specializations, the number of places for higher professional education programs (Bachelor's and Master's levels) in Romanian universities, as well as the terms of study, is available from the Admissions Committee.

The required documents are as follows:

• An application form and questionnaire of the established format for citizens of Turkmenistan;

• A letter of recommendation from the most recent place of study or employment (military unit);

• Twelve photographs, size 3x4 cm;

• A questionnaire of the format established for Romanian higher education institutions;

• A birth certificate (copy and certified translation);

• A certificate of permanent residence (copy and certified translation);

• A copy of the first two pages of the passport of a citizen of Turkmenistan for departure from and entry into Turkmenistan (the passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the commencement of the chosen study program);

• A document confirming any change of the citizen's name (if applicable) (copy and certified translation);

• For Bachelor's level admission: original copies of SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test), TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), and IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Academic Assessment Certificates, or a certificate of English language proficiency at the Advanced level or higher, issued by educational centers (copy and certified translation into English). Applicants possessing a certificate of successful completion of one of the academic assessment tests will be given preference during admission;

• For Master's level admission: original copies of GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test), GRE (Graduate Record Exam) Academic Assessment Certificates, or a certificate of English language proficiency at the Advanced level or higher, issued by educational centers (copy and certified translation into English). Applicants possessing a certificate of successful completion of one of the academic assessment tests will be given preference during admission;

• When enrolling in higher education institutions, preference will also be given to winners of national subject Olympiads among schoolchildren, participants of international Olympiads and competitions in general education subjects. Additionally, original certificates of completion of supplementary courses (if available), issued by competent educational institutions of the country (copies and certified translations thereof), must be provided;

• The original (copies and certified translation) of the document confirming general secondary education, vocational secondary education, or higher professional education. If the applicant is currently in their final year of secondary school, a certified copy of their academic transcript (with grades demonstrating academic performance) must be provided.

If the educational document was issued in a foreign state, a certificate of its recognition in Turkmenistan must be appended;

• The original of the diploma supplement (copy of the examination record, transcript, and its certified translation);

• A statement confirming that the applicant has not previously received a scholarship from the Government of Romania for study at the corresponding level of education (written confirmation);

• A certificate confirming completion of a Romanian language course or study of the Romanian language (if available);

• A Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English, French, or Romanian;

• A health certificate according to the format established by the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan (health certificate for citizens entering higher education institutions outside of Turkmenistan).

Furthermore, applicants must submit the following documents to the Admissions Committee along with the aforementioned documents:

• The passport of the citizen of Turkmenistan and the passport of the citizen of Turkmenistan for departure from and arrival in Turkmenistan;

• The military service record of completion of military service in the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan and the registration certificate – for young men who have not completed military service (copy of the certificate and a reference letter from the military commissariat at the place of residence).

Documents must be translated into English, French, or Romanian.

The Admissions Committee reserves the right to request additional information about the applicant if necessary.

Selection interviews with applicants who have submitted their documents will be held on April 1–2, 2025, at the International University for Humanities and Development.
