Adem Kula: Turkmenistan — a promising platform for international business
18.03.2025 | 19:05 |Today, within the framework of the forum "Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan" Adem Kula, the Secretary General-Founder and Board Member of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UTCCI), delivered a speech. In an interview with a correspondent from "Orient," he emphasized the important role of chambers of commerce and industry in strengthening economic ties between the countries of the region and supporting the private sector.
Mr. Kula also noted that the forum in Ashgabat is particularly important for foreign investors, as it provides an opportunity to establish initial contacts and understand the prospects for operating in Turkmenistan. "Here, they gain their first connection with local businesspeople and official representatives, which helps lay the foundation for successful cooperation" he stated.
It is recalled that the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan (CCIT) became a full member of the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry in 2024. According to Adem Kula, the Union of Turkic Chambers of Commerce and Industry, founded in 2019, serves as an effective platform for the further development of trade and economic cooperation among Turkic states.
The UTCCI actively contributes to the development of entrepreneurship and the promotion of the export potential of member states. The Union organizes business forums, round tables, and exhibitions, creating conditions for establishing contacts between the business community and government bodies.
Furthermore, Adem Kula highlighted the significant representation of Turkish companies at today's forum: "Today, we see that Turkish companies constitute 34% of foreign participants, excluding South Asian countries and local representatives. This indicates the growing interest of businesses in developing partnerships in the region" he noted.
