International Media Forum on Islamic Civilization Will Be Held in Tashkent


An international media forum titled “Islamic Civilization: A New Perspective, New Discoveries” will be held in Tashkent from August 24 to 29. The main venue of the large-scale event will be the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, which will bring together foreign journalists, international experts and media professionals. This was reported by Yuz.uz.
The forum’s program will include plenary sessions, thematic exhibitions, press briefings and business meetings. Experts will discuss documentary filmmaking, preservation of historical memory, the development of publishing projects and the use of modern technologies in the media.
Special attention will be paid to young professionals. Leading specialists from around the world will conduct master classes for students from Uzbekistan. Participants will learn about current trends in journalism, media content production and ways to promote materials in the global information space.
A rich cultural program has also been prepared for the guests. Journalists will take part in a special media tour of Tashkent and, on August 27, visit Samarkand and the Imam Bukhari complex.
The forum will conclude on August 28 with a review of its results. Foreign participants will also join festive events marking the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence. The event is expected to strengthen international ties and promote the region’s rich historical and cultural heritage.
