Results of the "Woman of the Year" competition announced in Turkmenistan
03.03.2025 | 11:10 |The final round of the "Woman of the Year" competition, organized by the Central Council of the Women's Union of Turkmenistan in anticipation of International Women's Day, took place at the Public Organizations Center in the capital city.
In the conclusive stage, participants who had emerged victorious in the preliminary rounds held across the velayats, as well as in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, competed in eight categories.
The primary objective of the competition is to showcase the abilities and talents of women, preserve the sanctity of the family as the cornerstone of Turkmen society, protect motherhood and childhood, instill in the younger generation a love for national spiritual values, foster a sense of patriotism, and promote a healthy lifestyle.
Following the competition, the jury announced the winners in the respective categories. Thus, in the category "For High Organizational Skills Demonstrated in the Era of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State", the winner was Ogulshat Durdyeva, Director of School No. 27 named after Berdimuhamet Annayev in Gokdepe etrap, Ahal velayat.
In the category "For the Preservation and Development of the Art of National Artistic Handicrafts in a Powerful State", the winner was Mengli Dolyyeva, a resident of Garagum etrap, Mary velayat.
The best in the category "For the Dissemination of Spiritual Values and National Cultural Heritage Worldwide" was Merjen Seyidova, an artist from the "Gurjak" folk theater of the Magtymguly etrap culture department, Balkan velayat.
In the category "For Achievements in Child Rearing," the victory was won by Mahri Shyhyeva, an elementary school teacher at Specialized Secondary School No. 3 with in-depth study of English in the city of Arkadag.
In the category "For Work on Strengthening the Country's Defense and Rule of Law in Society," the best was Aygozel Annamyradova, a psychologist from military unit No. 20020 in the city of Ashgabat.
In the category "For Contribution to Rural Development," the winner was Hurmagozel Malikova, head of the "Daýhan zenan yhlasy" peasant farm in Sakarchage etrap, Mary velayat.
The best in the category "For Contribution to the Development of the Country's Market Economy and Entrepreneurship" was Bagtygul Meretgylyjova, an entrepreneur and resident of the city of Dashoguz, Dashoguz velayat.
In the category "For Merits in Continuing the Tradition of Mentorship", the victory was won by Mahriban Ergeshova, a teacher at the children's art school in Danev etrap, Lebap velayat.
The winners were awarded honorary diplomas and commemorative gifts.
