Oriented on making people closer

Chairman of the Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz Sanzhar Zharkeshov and State Minister of Turkmenistan, Chairman of the State Concern Turkmengas Maksat Babayev held a working meeting in Ashgabat.

During the meeting, the participants agreed to intensify the work of the joint expert group. In particular, the parties discussed issues of importing Turkmen gas, as well as the implementation of geological exploration projects.

The meeting was a logical continuation of the strategic agreements reached at the highest level. Both delegations noted the importance of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan in the energy sector, including interaction between the SC Turkmengas and QazaqGaz.

In October 2024, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev paid an official visit to Turkmenistan. During the visit, a strategic agreementon the development of the gas industry was signed between QazaqGaz and Turkmengaz. This document opens new horizons for joint projects, strengthening the positions of both countries in the global energy market.
