The Turkic Academy has proposed creating a collective monograph on the history of the Turkic world
26.02.2025 | 10:45 |At the Turkic Academy, a proposal has been made to create a collective monograph dedicated to the history of the Turkic world. This initiative arose during an international working meeting attended by leading historians and experts from member and observer states of the Organization of Turkic States.
President of the Turkic Academy, Shahin Mustafayev, emphasized that the creation of such a monograph is a complex task, as it requires the integration of the history of numerous related peoples and states.
The main objective of this work is to highlight the key stages of the Turkic world's history, foster a shared historical consciousness, and strengthen national pride, particularly among young people. The monograph is intended to be written in an accessible style, making it comprehensible to a broad audience, including students and young researchers.
A crucial aspect is the popularization of the Turkic historical and cultural heritage on the international stage. Participants of the meeting discussed the conceptual foundations of the future work, which should combine academic depth with accessibility.
