Turkmenistan strengthens cooperation with the Bureau International des Expositions

On February 17th, a meeting took place at the headquarters of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) between the Ambassador, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the BIE, Maksat Charyyev, and the Secretary General of the organization, Mr. Dimitri Kerkentzes.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for developing cooperation between Turkmenistan and the BIE. It was noted that Turkmenistan is an active member of the organization's Administrative and Budget Committee, taking an active part in its activities. The Ambassador confirmed Turkmenistan's commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and developing fruitful cooperation with the Bureau International des Expositions. Special attention was paid to the upcoming meeting of the BIE Administrative and Budget Committee, which will be held in Ashgabat in March 2025.
Dimitri Kerkentzes expressed gratitude to Turkmenistan for its initiative and commitment to strengthening cooperation, noting the country's active participation in international exhibitions, including the World Expo in Osaka in 2025. He emphasized that the national pavilion of Turkmenistan will be one of the first to be opened at this universal exhibition among all participating countries.
It should be recalled that the National Day of Turkmenistan at EXPO-2025 in Osaka is scheduled for April 14th, namely the day after the opening of the World Expo. The BIE Secretariat confirmed its readiness for further joint work aimed at developing international exhibition cooperation and successfully implementing upcoming events.
