 Meeting held on the "Caspian Sea - Black Sea" project

On February 10, working meeting to discuss the draft intergovernmental Agreement on the creation and implementation of the international transit transport corridor "Caspian Sea - Black Sea" was held in the format of a video conference.

The meeting was attended by heads and representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Transport of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Romania. The parties discussed the mechanisms for implementing this ambitious project, which is designed to connect Central Asia and Europe, stimulate trade and economic growth in the region.

The negotiators noted the expected positive effect in the trade relations of all parties to the project, as well as the importance of involving international organizations in the field of cargo transportation to connect European and Asian markets, and the use of digital technologies.

At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed confidence that the quadrilateral intergovernmental Agreement on the creation and implementation of the international transit transport route "Caspian Sea - Black Sea", the signing of which is scheduled for this year, will make a significant contribution to the development of international freight transport between Central Asia and Europe.

The new international transport corridor "Caspian Sea - Black Sea" will become an important link in the system of global transport communications. The implementation of this ambitious project will strengthen regional cooperation and increase the geopolitical importance of the Caspian region.
