Mufti of Turkmenistan Addresses Meeting of Religious Leaders of Turkic States in Baku


The 7th meeting of the heads of Muslim religious administrations of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States was held today in Baku. The forum was attended by a delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the newly elected Chairman of the Muslim Religious Administration, Mufti Rahman Gurbanmyradov.
The main objective of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation among the religious leaders of the Turkic peoples, engage in dialogue on pressing issues of public life, and coordinate joint efforts.
In his address, the Mufti of Turkmenistan emphasized that centuries-old traditions of brotherhood, as well as the close ties in language, culture and spiritual values, form a strong foundation for developing dialogue among the states of the region.
According to the Chairman of the Muslim Religious Administration of Turkmenistan, direct dialogue among religious leaders helps find effective solutions to common challenges and contributes to further rapprochement among the Turkic peoples.
